Backyard Toys

At the beginning of summer I bought five logs from our local farmer's market. I thought they would become a table and chairs to accompany the mud pie kitchen, but they have become much more than just furniture. The other day my husband brought home a couple of "balance beams" to add to the collection. Oh what fun!

  1. These are the very things that at a state school if a child can not read, they get them to do things like balancing, walking backwards, etc. This helps coordinate the brain, so well done you. Ball catching and throwing and swinging on a swing are important for brain thinking. My son who is now 30, spent hours swinging, and is now as brainy as. cheers Marie
