Rain Rain...

Friday was our last full day of sun, since then the weather has been grey and rainy. For two days there have been fantastic thunderstorms with marble sized hail. The weather makes me feel a bit rainy myself. I was reading some of my regular blogs for inspiration when I came across a lovely idea. It’s the Simple Woman’s Daybook blog. A series of questions each week posted on Tuesday. I thought I’d try it today...

Outside my window...

is a fantastic display of weather. Rain, hail, wind and sun. All in the last hour. Hoping my little herb garden survives it all.

I am thinking...

about what to write for this blog.

I am thankful for...

the summer with my family. Time to read, craft, bake and play everyday.

From the kitchen...

homemade chicken soup, oatmeal cookies and hot chocolate. Feels like a winter night.

I am wearing...

comfy clothes and the kids are tucked into their pajamas ready for bed.

I am creating...

a painting for my daughter’s room. After the kids go to bed I’ll spend some time working on it and have a glass of wine.

I am going...

to the zoo tomorrow. The kids are excited to see the animals and run in the park.

I am reading...

The Handmade Home for crafting inspiration.

I am hoping...

the weather warms up and we can spend our days outside again. Summers are too short in this city.

I am hearing...

giggles and laughter. My son is reading the girls silly stories while I finish this post.

Around the house...

needs a little cleanup from the day. Ropes and playsilks are tied across the living room leftover from our playhouse/inside badminton net. Swimsuits are piled in the corner. Dinner dishes are still on the table.

One of my favorite things...

was the circus performance organized by my son this evening. Lots of dancing, hula hooping and juggling. Perfection.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

preparing food for our vacation. Zoo with good friends. Visit from Mom. Article to write. School garden to water and weed.

Here is picture I am sharing...
